CEO Mike Rotondo Featured on CNBC’s Squawk Box for National Flip Flop Day
June 19, 2015
At Tropical Smoothie Café, giving back is an important aspect of our business. So much that we created our own holiday! On June 19th, we celebrated our 8th annual National Flip Flop Day – a holiday designed to raise funds for Camp Sunshine, a non-profit organization that offers a retreat for kids with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
To help make this year’s holiday the best yet, CEO Mike Rotondo took on the CEO Flip Flop Challenge and walked the length of Manhattan, passing out free smoothies and raising funds for Camp Sunshine. Mike also stopped by CNBC’s Squawk Box to raise awareness for the cause, as well as to discuss the new trends in the restaurant industry.
